Ben earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management with a minor in Soils Science from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point in 2005. Throughout his career Ben has furthered his education and received many certifications. He is a Certified Managed Forest Law plan writer in Wisconsin, a Forest Stewardship plan preparer in Minnesota, and a Certified Pesticide Applicator in Wisconsin and Michigan. In addition, he has received Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) Certification through the Forest Industry Safety and Training Alliance, is a Technical Service Provider with the Natural Resource Conservation Service, and has advanced training in Wetland Delineation. Ben is also a member of the Society of American Foresters.

Ben’s current job duties include project level land management for a variety of private landowners in the Lakes States. He is proficient at timber sale preparation and administration, management plan preparation, forest inventory, re-forestation, and Best Management Practice implementation. Ben also oversees the Environmental Department, which provides pesticide application, wetland delineation, and environmental monitoring services.

In his free time, Ben enjoys spending time recreating in the Northwoods of Wisconsin with his wife and children.
